DESCRIPTION:Want to learn how to start and maintain a compost pile?  Love getting a workout and doing something meaningful? \nJoin us in turning the Compost Carpool Compost Piles! \nCheck out the steamy gloriousness that is hot composting and learn about: \n\nProper moisture level\nTurning a pile (frequency\, proper distribution of moisture and bacteria\, the importance of oxygen in aerobic composting)\nBalancing greens and browns (nitrogen and carbon)\nTips for heating up a pile and keeping it hot\n\nBe sure to bring water! Even in the mornings\, it gets pretty hot. We also recommend a hat and closed-toed shoes (ideally boots to protect yourself from ants).
